From the 60s to the 2000s, TMP Industrie has continuously progressed, drawing its force from technological innovation, and from a passion for plastics processes. Our main concern has always been success alongside our customers.
1962
Gérard CONVERT started his plastics business in Bourg-en-Bresse, working closely with factories in the valley of Oyonnax (Plastics Valley in the Ain Department).
It all began in his workshop, where he used machines on a small industrial scale to produce petals for artificial flowers.
The company developed and diversified its offer to include finished products such as household utensils and toys.
1973
The business continued its expansion with the purchase of the JOU-PLAST company.
TMP manufactured the famous prize inside BONUX washing powder for Procter et Gamble, a revolutionary innovation in marketing.
1974
Thierry CONVERT, his sister Paule and their mother Micheline took over for Gérard CONVERT.
1980
The TMP Convert company was founded and set up in Simandre-sur-Suran, with investment made to increase production capacity.
1984
For the first time, sub-contracting and production of TMP Convert’s own products were united at a single site.
1990
TMP Convert expanded its activity, adding a mold workshop for construction and maintenance of tooling, along with production and sales of its own products.
1993
ISO 9001 certification.
2003
Extension of workshop, to incorporate high-tonnage presses (from 60 to 1500 tons).
2005
Production of parts transformed using gas injection technique.
2007
TMP Convert added to its departments, creating a study department and establishing a dedicated development team.
2011
Development of sales activity with major retailers, for distribution of our own products (terrace supports).
2017
Set-up of workshop with roboticized lines dedicated to the production of terrace supports, and acquisition of 8500m2 and 2 new marquee tents for storage.
Division into 2 entities: TMP Convert for the production of our own products, and TMP Industrie, dedicated to sub-contracting of technical parts for the industry.
